A shock defeat at Burnley last weekend seemed to extinguish any faint hopes of chipping away at Liverpool’s lead at the top of the table.And defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night then all-but confirmed a late Spurs surge towards the top was over.After beating Leicester City and Newcastle United, it seemed as though Spurs could mount an incredible charge towards the title.
